Paperwork / Medical Records

The more information our doctors have to understand your health history, your lifestyle and the onset of your condition will help them to accurately diagnose and best treat your condition. Upon entering the office, we will ask you to complete paperwork to tell us more about you and your complaint. You should bring any other pertinent medical records, x-rays/MRI/imaging and labwork reports for the doctor to review.

Consultation & Health History

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your injury or condition, other health-related problems, concerns, health and injury history and potential treatment options.

Examination

The doctor will perfrom a postural evaluation, gait and movement analysis, range of motion, orthopedic and neurologcal tests, motion palpation and evaluation of joint motion, alignment, muscle tone and tenderness. This will help the doctor clearly identify the source of your problem and symptoms.

X-ray Studies

If your injury is the result of trauma or if there are other red flags or considerations that need to be clarified, the doctor may determine that x-rays are important to either rule out more serious conditions or assist him in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, soft tissue therapies and/or acupuncture.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as specific home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen again within 2-3 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
